Melissa Burruezo, DMD Specialty Permit #5580

Dr. Burruezo was born in New York City and raised in
Hackettstown, NJ.  She attended Warren Hills Senior High
School in Washington, NJ.  She majored in Biology at Moravian
College in Bethlehem, PA. She received her DMD from the
University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in 2000.  
After obtaining her DMD degree, Dr. Burruezo studied pediatric
dentistry at St. Christopher's Hospital for Children in
Philadelphia for two years.  She remained in Philadelphia after
her pediatric residency working as an Associate at Children's
Dental Associates.  In October of 2004, Dr. Burruezo moved
back to New Jersey to start her own practice, Pediatric Dental
Arts in Bedminster, NJ.  She maintains her ties to Philadelphia by
serving as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Pediatric Dentistry at
the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, where
she helps supervise the pediatric rotation for the Penn Dental
Students.

In her spare time Dr. Burruezo likes to engage in outdoor
activities like white water rafting, rock climbing, nature hikes,
and long walks with her two dogs Chloe and Lulu.  When she is not
outdoors, she likes to spend time with her family and friends or
curl up on the couch with a good book and her cat, Angel.
